WOW.

I've been behind in posting my 365. I wanted to do a quick blog to let you know that I am still keeping up with it and I will be posting a mother-load by this weekend.

Also, things have been great for me these days! OK, so it's not perfect, but I see my life moving in the direction I want it to.

I also had a talk with some friends that refreshed my resolutions for 2010. I haven't even been thinking about it, but subconsciously, I've been sticking to it. :)

Balance

DAY 132 - May 12, 2010

Life has a way of balancing things out. Yesterday, I was bummed out about hearing all these couples breaking up. Today, I remembered that my friends are celebrating their one-year anniversary. I guess there is still hope after all. :)

Absolutely Imperfect in Every Way

You know what I learned today? Even the most beautiful and well-loved people suffer through bouts of insecurities. Well, this isn't new-found knowledge, however, it is nice to be reminded that everyone has down time.

For today's AOTD, I wanted to to celebrate some of my not-so-desireable characteristics. This is me, as an emoticon:

DAY 106 - April 16, 2010
TITLE: NELLicon

Hi I'm Nella. My hair is unruly. I laugh too loud. I use the "F word" ALOT. I don't get my nails done. My car is a mess. I'm a flirt. I walk funny in heels. If I could, I'd sleep til noon everyday. I'm either dropping, knocking, or running into things. Patience is not one of my virtues. I think too much, but often times, I don't think enough. I'm absolutely imperfect in everyway, nonetheless, I am AWESOME.

One of Them Days

Today is one of those days where I just want to sleep all my troubles away. I'm exhausted and outside factors are contributing to my frustrations. I won't blame my distress completely on outside factors, since I am feeling this way because I didn't use my time and energy wisely. The next few weeks are going to be extremely hectic, but at least I know it will go by quickly. I need to focus!!!

Now that I am done venting, I am going to do something that will make me feel better. I can't do anything to fix the things at are causing m stress, but I can change the way I feel about it!

Just Show Up

I know I'm not even 25% complete into my project, but I'm really proud of how well I'm keeping up with it. :)

My friend sent me this video. She said she thought of me when she watched it and I can see why. Take a peek:

She makes a lot of sense. I'd like to think this creative spirit does reside inside myself, but I do enjoy the thought of it fleeting. It's true. Like she said, the important thing is you show up for the work. At times when I am thinking of what to do for my 365 Days of Art, I don't exactly know where I am going with it or sometimes, I don't even know what to do. Somedays, I create some wonderful things, while on other days, when they're okay, but not so wonderful. The whole point is to take a piece of yourself and try to share it with the world.

DAY 75 - March 16, 2010

As much as I love my sociology class, the readings kinda bore me to sleep, so I doodle myself awake. The reading touched on the youth reforms of the 60's and I started envisioning myself as a hippie. As you can see, it looks nothing like me, so we'll just say this is some other hippie chick.

For St. Patty's, instead of hitting the bars, I decided to meet my god-daughter for the first time! She's the product of two people I care about very much and she's also born on my birthday! :)

Due to time constraints, I wasn't able to take a good picture of this. Anyway, in the spirit of Sharon's Japanese-themed birthday, she wanted to get sakura nails done. I hope she liked it, because I did!
